Education

  • University degree in Engineering: Chemical, Industrial, Energy, Mechanical, Process, or a related field.

  • Advanced level of spoken and written English (C1).

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized strategic advisory services on green hydrogen, based on up-to-date industry knowledge.

  • Assess the techno-economic feasibility of green hydrogen projects.

  • Analyse opportunities to improve the efficiency, quality, and cost of hydrogen production.

  • Select the most suitable technologies and solutions for each project.

  • Identify commercial opportunities and funding sources.

  • Guide and advise clients throughout the development of their renewable hydrogen projects.

  • Conduct active monitoring of the renewable hydrogen sector.

  • Prepare financial reports to support strategic decision-making.

  • Provide technical support to ARIEMA’s Hydrogen Course.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the energy sector.

  • Experience in project coordination, preferably in the renewable energy sector: planning, monitoring, and coordination.

  • General understanding of the hydrogen value chain: production, storage, distribution, and end uses.

  • Knowledge of economic (CAPEX and OPEX) and financial (IRR, NPV) evaluation criteria applied to hydrogen projects.

  • Experience with public funding calls from national or European agencies.

  • Strong command of English, both spoken and written.

  • Ability to conduct forecasting and risk assessments.

  • Analytical mindset and capacity to work with complex datasets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and development of equipment.

  • CAD design of components and assemblies.

  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

  • Preparation of technical drawings, documentation, reports, and presentations.

  • Prototype assembly and testing.

  • Evaluation of test results and performance.

  • Demonstrated experience in simulation using ANSYS (FEA).

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools.

Key Responsibilities

Develop the conceptual engineering of new projects or technical modifications.

  • Prepare the basic engineering for new projects or technical modifications.

  • Contribute to the definition and optimisation of control philosophies.

  • Produce P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and material and energy balances.

  • Collaborate with the Project Engineering team during project development and execution phases, reviewing and updating process data as required.

  • Carry out simulations and technical designs for new projects or the optimisation of process units.

  • Monitor reactor operation, analyse deviations, and propose performance improvements.

  • Contribute to technology surveillance studies and suggest continuous improvement methods.

Academic Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering with a chemical specialisation.

  • Preferably complemented by a Master’s in Process Chemical Engineering or a similar field.

Required Competencies

  • Demonstrable professional experience of over 2 years performing the functions described above.

  • Strong teamwork skills and results-oriented mindset.

  • Problem-solving approach and analytical thinking.

  • We are seeking Process Engineers with experience in R&D&I projects, particularly those who have participated in the design and/or construction of pilot plants related to:

    • Electrolysis and electrochemical processes

    • Energy storage technologies

    • Hydrogen production technologies

    • Heterogeneous catalysis

    • Separation processes or process intensification technologies

  • Experience with chemical process and CFD simulators will be highly valued (Aspen, HYSYS, COMSOL, ANSYS…).

  • Familiarity with techno-economic modelling, laboratory and pilot-scale experimentation, and participation in R&D&I projects funded by national or European public bodies is a strong asset.

Additional Assets (Will be  considered a plus)

  • Knowledge of equipment and installation certification.

  • Experience with plant commissioning.

  • 3D design capabilities.
